this is my GSXR750RK with works rear shock and works magnesium dry
clutch. The previous owner, Steve had the head mildly ported but I still feel there isn't enough power so I'm gonna stick a prepped Bandit12 engine in it with a 1277 big bore that I've just got coming from the states for a pathetic £180.00. The story of the new engine is a bit tied up with Alan's bike. I rebuilt the top of his GSXR1100 as it smoked like a 60 a day cancer victim doing my usual lovely job, he put it on a dyno and blew a big end with No.3 rod peeking out through the crankcase and saying hi. We then got a B12 engine out of a vandalised bike and after doing loads of work to the head found the crankcases full of nuts, bolts and sand. Someone really hated the owner of that B12. The breakers kindly gave us another B12 motor with a damaged head and I've since built one good lump out of the two and purchased the remains from the breakers for £150, not bad for an engine I would have stripped anyway. I'm also buying most of the remains of Alan's original lump so I should have a good choice of parts to play with especially when you add my personal parts bins which are overflowing. As soon as I've finished Alan's motor I'll start hitting him with a baseball bat to get the price on his old engine parts down and then I'll post a proposed spec sheet for my new engine.
